Dear TREC 2013 FedWeb participants,

Welcome to the TREC 2013 Federated Web Search (FedWeb) mailing list! The goal of the FedWeb track is to evaluate approaches to federated search at large scale in a realistic setting, by combining the search results of existing web search engines. We plan to have the draft guidelines on-line at the end of next week.

We are currently finalizing our list of search engines. We will have search engines in the following categories:

Q&A (Answers.com, Yahoo Answers, StackOverflow, ... )

Shopping (Amazon, eBay, ...)
Social (Delicious, Digg, ...)
Software (SourceForge, Cnet Download, ...)
Sport (ESPN, Fox Sports, ...)
Travel (TripAdvisor, Wiki Travel, ...)

Please let us know if you have suggestions for categories and/or search engines. We also consider adding your group's own search engine, if you provide us with an API.

For social, you could add reddit: http://www.reddit.com/dev/api#section_search

For jobs, you could add LinkedIn: http://developer.linkedin.com/apis

You could add a new category, Health, and use WebMD: http://www.webmd.com/api/repository/RepositoryService.asmx?op=GetAssetXml
