Here are 2 pictures I took of the Airport APM.  I tried for more, but it was my first try wth my Daughter's new camera, and I don't know where they went.
 
Of anybody wants more, please let me know.
 
The system is far bigger than it looks from the road.  Support pillars are about 9 Ft diameter, the guideway is at least 12 Ft wide, and it is indeed cable-driven. However, the vehicle does not engage the cable like the San Francisco Trams do.
The cables engage a lower wheel on a 2-wheel mounting. The lower wheel picks up power from the cable, and the upper wheel engages the cars as they pass.
 
It is not high level noise, but there is some that can be heard above normal street traffic,  as all the wheels begin to turn when the vehicle leaves the station, and during it's whole trip.
 
The size is such that I would not want to propose one for my street, or anybody else's.
