In New Mexico, the New Mexico Independent (for which I work for) is doing something that has only been done a few times before (and, mostly, by our site and a handful of Republican legislators last year) -- webcasting the proceedings in committee hearings in New Mexico. In fact, last year wast he first time that action on the Senate floor was webcast (though through one camera that is set at the back of the chamber at a fixed position), and the House still only has audio webcasting (again new last year).

Unfortunately, we can only pick one committee at a time to webcast, but we do try to pick the most important committees to webcast.

We also liveblog the proceedings every day from both the House and Senate chambers until they move into committee.

If you want to see what we've been doing, check it out: http://newmexicoindependent.com/category/live-blog

This is fantastic Matt!

You guys are doing excellent work.

Sunlight is planning on moving into the states we have picked 8 states and New Mexico is one of them.  We will be writing a post highlighting the great work you guys are doing and a little background on the state.

Matt please let us know how else we can help.  I know this session is only 30 days so there is a lot to do.

Is anyone else liveblogging their leg session?
