Northern Michigan Citizens Climate Lobby

Hi all,

As you may know, we recently formed a northern Michigan chapter of the Citizen's Climate Lobby (CCL) based in Traverse City.  CCL is an international organization  (Canada and the US).  It's sole mission is to pass a federal fee and dividend carbon tax to curb global warming and climate change.

If anyone would like to be added to the email list to be kept informed about climate change efforts in northern Michigan, please email the group leaders at northernm...@gmail.com.

Also, many members of this group are interested in forming an "energy activists" group, to push for clean energy options in northern Michigan, including possible wind and solar options from TC Light and Power.  Please indicate if you want to be added to that email list as well. 

Note:   TCL&P is taking one baby step toward solar, and we want to show HUGE support at the upcoming TCL&P Board meeting to let TCL&P how many people want clean energy options.  The meeting is on March 26th at 5:15, 2nd floor of the Governmental Center.  

Both of those groups would like to stay in contact with Transition Traverse City, and will send  notices of important events to this group list, if that is okay.
