Hope you can join us for tomorrow's film. Also please see below for the follow-up to the permaculture film, a potluck and garden tour at Wendy Weiner's place.

Social Action film: Education Under Fire
Sunday May 19, 5 pm

1475 W. Front Street, Lincroft -Unitarian meetinghouse

Education Under Fire is a film about defending the right to higher education for all in Iran. Today, thousands are denied formal university education due to their religious or ideological beliefs. Join Patty Whyte, a member of the local Bahai community, for Q and A after this short-form documentary telling the poignant and compelling story of the Bahá’í Institute for Higher Education (BIHE) – an organization struggling to provide the opportunity for an entire minority community in Iran to receive an education. Free and open to the public.  Light refreshments served.  More info: 732-219-6901.

Permaculture Potluck and Garden Tour

As previously mentioned, there was a lot of interest in continuing the discussion after the permaculture film last month.  Wendy Weiner (thefrontyardfarmer.net) invites everyone to share a meal and check out her permaculture-inspired gardens.  Vegan or vegetarian only (please label if not vegan).  Wine/beer ok too.
