to Transition BH
Hi all, following andy's excellent coverage I will attempt to fill the
gaps regarding the group that convened to consider a vision for
Transition BH.
We had a bit of a go round with open discussion and point raising and
the following were given as an individual and present utopian wish
list,
Generally people had a hope for a greater sense of community Support
1 person expressed a desire that on an indidual basis the general
population would internalise the ethics of community and also create
the opportunity for a community of hope, "We culture vs Me culture"
Transition Bh could show the local authority that the movement was
coming from the grassroots and that they should get behind it
Life support sytems to become the priority, natural capital over
economic
Focus on very young people, encourage their natural curiosity to be
involved and earthed and to help them appreciate the limitations of
resources
Return to communities of support
For people to feel enabled and supported to be able to be the "threat
of a good example"
Increased contact with nature, to co-operate with rather than contend
