There's a growing interest from the OSM community in transit, and this week they held a workshop on how to represent transit features:

There was a little chatter (quite a lot from me!) about OSM and transit at the recent Where2.0 and WhereCamp events.  If anybody is wants to find out more, then the OSM public transport schema is available here:
