I have never before seen any of the episodes and I have just finished the 1st season. It seems the original Author of the series (who is LDS) seems to have integrated many transhumanist themes into this show. I'm sure I'm not the first of you to notice this but I thought it was interesting with the idea of Cylons and humans, their relationship to each other and the Destruction of the human race except those who were "caught up" and travel to Kobol (anagram for Kolob) to get to "earth" (as we know from modern revelation that it will be the Celestial Kingdom.) not to mention other tidbits such as the "Quorum of Twelve."
