  I found the best one is a bug spray I get from REI or a natural food store. Its made with lemon and eucalyptus oils. Awesome stuff. consumer reports rates it one of the best. Definitely works better than Off or the other popular brands. Cost is about $7. Other problem is finding it, sells fast. Used it canyoneering in UT. NO-SEE-UMS..NO-PROBLEM they hated it. A bit overpowering when spraying on but goes away. Best part is BUGS hate it, Koala&#39;s love ya! Plus if you have a stuffed up nose it will open you right up!! So it has multiple uses.

  Just ride faster! :-) &lt;br&gt; &lt;p&gt;Seriously the only bug sprays I&#39;ve found that don&#39;t contain deet and work &lt;br&gt; are very fragrant, actually they stink pretty bad. My wife just brought &lt;br&gt; home a spray for our dogs and horses that doesn&#39;t smell to bad, kind like &lt;br&gt; dish soap. but I haven&#39;t tried it yet so can&#39;t vouch for it&#39;s
