In Addition--

Hi,

looks like as the trail central forum is not very popular so I´m posting my question to the community:

Coming from Germany I am planning a 3 week bike trip to colorado. We plan for a couple of great bike spots and a 1-2 week tour with backpack. Surfing the web I found some great reports on the Colorado trail. Maybe there is somebody out there who can answer the following questions and give me some local´s specials:

Is it worth the trip or are there any better multi-day tours that you can recommend?
What is the best direction for the Colorado trail?
What is the best time of year for biking colorado?
Any other spots that you believe are a "must ride"?

We are pretty experienced in the european alps and fine with 50miles and 6000 feet vertical per day. So feel free to call me for any recomendations for a trip to europe.
