Hi all. I am looking to run the 50K on Sunday but have run into a childcare issue for the morning. My parenting partner in crime can't help so I am looking for any ideas others might have or for someone that might be willing to watch them while I run. My kids are 6 and 8, and aren't roamers. They just need someone to keep a light eye on them and go to if they have an issue. They love helping at water stops too so if anyone is working a water stop maybe the kids could hang out and help? I know it's a lot to ask but I'm trying to keep my Pineland running streak alive...Thanks for your ideas.

maybe they could help at the finish line, handing out water bottles/ setting them up? Also, the YMCA is doing child care (for a fee) - not sure of the details, but I think I saw something from the race facebook page.

Glad you came to your senses and are keeping it to two laps. I will be running the 50K with Katy again this year.

I did set up childcare at the YMCA this year but the time frames are geared toward the 25k, they didn't have resources to do it longer. Check out the facebook page for links.

Stephen - they can hang out with me! We'll go hang out at the Falmouth nordic table and help there some - that's an active table so they'll have fun. But we'll follow you around after you leave there too. What time does 50K start?

I'll take a cool rain over heat and humidity any day. Copious amounts of Bodyglide and all should be well.
