On the weekend of September 14-16, Jim D. and I will be camping at Blackwoods at Acadia National Park. Kate may come to, but is going to wait and see how things are going with school first. It's the weekend before Virgil Crest which might make it difficult for some of you to attend, but all are welcome.

What is known as of now and subject to change:
- Jim would arrive around 7:30pm on Friday. I would arrive around 9pm that evening (leaving after a XC meet). You could arrive Saturday if you would like. I presume Jim and I will be sharing a campsite, so you are on your own for reserving one (two tents per site).
- Saturday is the Bar Harbor Half Marathon. I may run it in reverse to cheer on the runners, or just do my own thing.
- Saturday evening will likely feature a trip to Geddy's for food (hubcap of nachos!) and beverages.
- Sunday I plan to run the last 20 miles of the MDI Marathon course and then shower and head home.

FYI - Two weeks later we'll be camping there again... Jim has a century ride and I have a cross country meet in Belfast, so if that weekend works for you keep that in mind as well.

Sounds like a great weekend. If anyone is heading up on Saturday
morning please keep me in mind...I planned on camping with my
daughters Amella and Nikyla the weekend before Virgil and MDI is as
good a place as any to do it.

Would meet them there for a day of hiking and race spectating then set
up a tent far enough from you crazy cats as to not impede on the late
night festivities.

However it works out I'd like to hit MDI again with you all soon and
hope that those who head up on the 14th-15th have a blast.

Brenda registered for the half a long time ago and we were planning on camping that weekend too. We’ll probably arrive late Friday after Brenda gets out of school. Django and I will be running along the carriage roads cheering on runners during the race. Sunday we’ll probably do a short run and then I was hoping to do some kayaking before heading back.

Just a reminder that next weekend some of us will be camping at Blackwoods in Acadia. It'll be a grand time, so join us if you can!

Still adjusting to the work schedule. Brain is green jello and rhyming would probably give me a concussion. Acadia, take me away!

Just saw a fb post from Acadia Climbing School (based n Bar Harbor).  Not sure if any of you are into climbing but if you act wicked fast, you can climb for half a day for free on Sunday the 16th.  I am so totally there, against my better judgment.

It's free because they are training the new guides, and they need clients on which to do so.   207.288.2521 is the number.

That sounds fun! Lillian is probably a little too young to go climbing yet...ha ha ha!

We're only planning on staying through Saturday anyway.
