Hi all.

I'm very new to Trac and am having some trouble setting up
authentication on my shared host. I've installed Trac according to the
install instructions and have it setup using FastCGI. However, the
only instructions I can find about enabling authentication mentions
editing the Apache config file, which I don't have access to on my
shared host.

Is there a set of instructions somewhere that I haven't stumbled upon
yet? Or some helpful advice?

Thanks in advance.
Jason

Try to put the auth config on .htaccess file.

The AccountManagerPlugin supports login trac via http authentication
by internal or external uri, I think this is the easiest way to let
you configure trac's login.

Thanks for the suggestions. Putting the config in the .htaccess file
didn't work, but the AccountManagerPlugin did.

Thanks again!
