Sometime some messages are pegged by Google Groups as possible Spam. A notification goes out to the adminstrator/s requesting moderation. This could have been the delay. The best thing to do I think, is to make everyone a group administrator. All the frequent contributors at least...

Hello Jelena

It brings to mind that we need a place to list those in this group with an online identity (blog, photo album, video account, wiki, etc) So that people like Jelena can get to know us better, and perhaps offer us a link to things about her as well...

Hi Jelena,
Welcome to the group! I am a teacher of Hospitality Management at
Ourimbah Campus of TAFE. Following up on Leigh's point we have a blog
for our students at http://dhm2c.blogspot.com showing some of their
activities. We are also trialling a Faculty blog at
http://trialhospitality.blogspot.com where you can see all the
hospitality sections in our Institute. The Ourimbah chefs blog is
really interesting. Is their any way our students could collaborate
with your students?
Regards,
Peter

Thank you for your answer.

One of the reason for appling myself to your group was the posibility to colaborate with other Faculties ans Universities all around the world.
At the moment, our web-site in english is under the reconstruction and only serbian version is in use.
But, by the end of septembre 2006., you will be able to see any necesary information at :

We are the member of World Tourism Organization.
The Secretary General of WTO, mr. Francesco Frangialli is our visiting-profesor at Master and PhD programs.
He has been, for more than 20 years, also very close personal friend of our Dean, PhD Slobodan Unković who is world-wide famous expert in the field of marketing of service industries, specialy in tourism and hospitality industry.

You are more than welcome to cooperate with us !

I also work as a Marketing and PR manger at our university, although I will be the student of forth year od undergraduate studies this autumn.

Hi Jelena,
Our campus has both the University of Newcastle and TAFE NSW Vocational
level training operating. I am involved in both. We have degree
students doing majors in Hospitality Management as well Advanced
Diploma right through to apprentice chefs.
Here is our website http://www.ccc.newcastle.edu.au/ also here is our
TAFE (Vocational training) site http://www.hunter.tafensw.edu.au/ I
have been involved in the development of online and flexible delivery
solutions for out faculty. Here is a link to a paper I presented last
year. http://videolinq.tafe.net/learning2005/papers.html
Perhaps there is the opportunity to collaborate on some type of
research?
Regards,
Peter

Hi Jelena

Looking forward to familiarising myself with your work. We've a new THED wiki which can be used to connect to the work you and your colleagues are doing

http://thed.wikispaces.com/

If you are a member of THED and you have a online identity can you please start to link your online identity to the THED online identities page. The wiki is just starting out as a group over coming weeks I'd like to collaborate on building a resource that is of real use for group

It can  be used for THED sharing of resources (plus anything else we
want to use it for)...Peter Leigh sure you have some ideas and suggestions

Note: We also have the wiki
http://tourismhospitaltynetworked.pbwiki.com. This contains info for
the learnscope project, thats it.

Of course.
I think that we would like to colaborate with as many institutions as posible.
You can send us some interesting proposition, we will send to you ours and I am definitely sure that something very creative is going to be made.

At the moment, we are trying to create our own programe for PhD-level.
We had already create some in the past, but now all around the Europe Unies have to make some serious changes in all Programs in all levels.
For the first time in my country, students will be able to apply for PhD degree immediately after graduate level.
Before this, our students had to finished first some kind of Master Level.

I am asking everobody to help us with the list of respectable subjects, books, etc.
You will be more than welcome to help us !

Thank you very much in advance !

Jelena

Sounds to me Jelena you should think about developing course resources in the Wikiversity... kind of like the wikipedia for learning materials. I think you should use THED to communicate and wikiversity to develop.

OK

Wikiversity idea sounds good Leigh.

Jelena I'll be meeting Leigh and other like minded people next week in New Zealand including Stephen Downes :-) will talk about THED and get some insightful input into developing an intersting proposal  on what we can do with the THED tourism and hospitaltity network, hopefuly with input from others unable to attend in person.

I am very pleased that you have found our little group, having the potential to colaborate  gives us an opportunity to put our international networked learning theory into practice and a great example for the project, successfully connecting with other like minded groups using google groups...

Check out http://flnw.wikispaces.com/

The THED network is the result of funding from http://nswlearnscope.com as part of the  project http://teacherconnect.wikispaces.com.

The original brief for the project can be found at http://teacherconnect.wikispaces.com/tourismhospitalityed

Associated project spaces where we have trialed new Web2 technologies and professional development practices can be found at
http://thed.wikispaces.com/THED+spaces

Proposal to follow in http://thed.wikispaces.com/Collaboration+space...

Warm regards

Steven
