Has anyone ever changed the CCFT on the display of an CF-M34

Yes, I have done that.It's not that difficult if you have the
replacement part and the time and patience to attempt it

So did it improve the quality of the display? i.e. was it much brighter
than before
I have a touchscreen and with it in place I know that it does reduce
the brightness
of the display.

are you indicating that there are several parts to the display here and
that one of them
darkens it.. or are you trying to say the touchscreen / display is one
unit and need to be
changed out for non touch to get a brighter display ? im confused..

Well I apologize for the bad wording. I need to replace the CCFT but I
was debating on removing the touch screen
and replaceing it with clear glass. cause the touch screen does lessen
the brightness of the display a bit.

and yes the touch screen is a seperate part of the display and therefor
can be replaced.
