How will history describe the Israeli war against the Palestinians in Gaza?
Another Holocaust, this time perpetrated by the descendants of the victims?
An election ploy by ambitious Israeli politicians to win votes in the
February 10 elections? A test range for new American weapons? Or an effort
to lock in the new Obama Administration into an anti-Iranian position? An
attempt to establish its military "credibility" after its disastrous defeat
in the war with Hezbollah in Lebanon in 2006? Perhaps all of these .. and
more.
But one thing is certain. Israel has killed at least 100 Palestinians for
each of its own claimed losses, a vast disproportion that has produced
horror in much of the world, creating a new cause which has mobilized
countless numbers of people - possibly as strong as the Vietnam war
movement. It has made itself a pariah nation - save in the United States and
a few other countries. Above all, it has enflamed the entire Muslim world
As Bruce Riedel, a "hawk" who has held senior posts in the CIA for nearly 30
years and is now one of President Obama's many advisers, has just written:
".. the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is the central all-consuming issue for
al Quaeda," and "Muslims feel a profound sense of wrong about the creation
of Israel that infuses every aspect thinking and activities and has become
the rallying cry used the convince the ummah of the righteousness of al
Quaeda's cause." That was before Gaza. Much of the world now detests Israel
but most it will live for many years to come with the consequences of
Israel's atrocities. Muslim extremists will now become much stronger.
Charges of war crimes are now being leveled - and justifiably so - at the
Israelis, many of whom themselves come from families that suffered in the
hands of the Nazis over 60 years ago and now claim that the Holocaust was
the only tragedy - as if the far more numerous deaths of goyim throughout
the world after 1945 count for nothing. The United Nations and human rights
groups are demanding that Israel be brought to justice for what now amounts
to having killed over 1300 Gazans with immense firepower, many of which,
like phosphorous bombs, are illegal. Israel has already prepared its senior
officers to be ready to defend themselves against war crimes charges and
Israeli Attorney General Menahem Mazuz several weeks ago warned the
government was expecting a "wave of international lawsuits."
It will now have to live with the geo-political consequences in the region.
Israel has, perhaps irreparably, imperiled its relations with the
neighboring Arab states and other Muslim nations - Qatar and Mauritania have
already suspended diplomatic relations with it - less because the ruling
classes of these nations want to penalize it but because the Arab masses
demand it, imperiling their own positions as rulers.
Even more important, although the United States has loyally supported Israel
for decades, deluging it with the most modern arms and giving it diplomatic
protection, it is now in an economic crisis and needs Arab money, not to
mention oil imports, as never before. The stability of this crucial alliance
will now be tested.
Since its inception, a cult of machismo - called self-defense -
characterized much of Zionism, and although there were idealists like A. D.
Gordon, the mainstream was more and more committed to a violent response to
the Arabs who surrounded them. The military was increasing glorified,
including by nominal Leftists like David Ben Gurion, so that today Israel is
a regional Sparta armed with the most modern military and nuclear weapons,
giving it a virtual monopoly in a vast region - one that will inevitably be
challenged.
Uri Avnery, a leading Israeli anti-war activist, has just written that "..
hundreds of millions of Arabs around us .. will they see the Hamas fighters
as the heroes of the Arab nation, but they will also see their own regimes
in their nakedness: cringing, ignominious, corrupt and treacherous .. In
coming years it will become apparent that this war was sheer madness."
We are living through yet another great tragedy, and tragedies have been the
staple of world history for centuries. Now former victims and their
descendants are the executioners.

Erdogan storms out of WEF over Gaza

Erdogan criticized the audience of international officials and corporate
chiefs for applauding Peres' emotional defense of Israel's war against Hamas
in Gaza.
Turkish Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan stormed out of a Davos forum after a
heated debate with Israel's President Shimon Peres and slamming moderator
David Ignatius.
Erdogan walked off in front of UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and other
panel members complaining that his comments on the conflict were cut short
by the Washington Post's moderator David Ignatius.
The Turkish premier noted to reporters following the incident that he was
treated unfairly by the moderator who allowed him only 12 minutes to make
his points while giving Peres a full 25 minutes to deliver an impassioned
defense of Israel's 22-day offensive that devastated Gaza. Arab League
chief, Egypt's Amr Moussa rose to shake his hand as the prime minister made
his exit.
"I do not think I will be coming back to Davos after this because you do not
let me speak," the prime minister shouted as he left, though he said later
he could reconsider.
Erdogan criticized the audience of international officials and corporate

The Torah Position on the Current Conflict in Gaza

Once again, we find ourselves reading horrifying headlines regarding the
unrest in the Middle East. In one long chain of tragedies and civilian
bloodshed, residential neighborhoods have been transformed into war zones,
the daily lives of civilians distorted by ever-present shadows of terror and
fright.
Our readers have long been familiar with the Torah position; let us
re-announce it boldly and clearly:
The Zionist ideology is antithetical to the Torah. Zionism was deviously
designed to replace the Torah and its holy, God-given commandments with
nationalistic, power-driven ideals that are devoid of holiness, godliness,
or spirituality.
God-fearing Jews believe that the ultimate Redemption of the Jewish Nation
will come about only through the Hands of God, and that at the time of the
Redemption, peace will reign in the entire world. Any other type of forced
redemption is but a sinful transgression, condemned by God and His Holy
Torah.
What more proof does one need than the fact that for centuries, Jews have
lived peacefully in Arabic countries, enjoying the respect and friendship of
their neighbors? The tragedy of Zionism changed all of that. The painful
truth is that in the eyes of the Zionist government, Jews are merely the
cannon-fodder needed for the State of Israel to achieve its agenda.
Obviously, the State of Israel has absolutely no connection with either Jews
or Judaism. Furthermore, Torah-true Jews did not participate in the founding
of the State, and for decades, we have announced our disapproval and
disassociation from the State of Israel at every opportunity.

US: Israel must probe war crimes

The US envoy to the United Nations says Israel must investigate allegations
that its army violated international law during the war in Gaza.
The new US envoy to the UN says Israel must investigate the allegations that
its army has committed war crimes during the war on Gaza.
"We expect Israel will meet its international obligations to investigate",
Ambassador Susan Rice said in her debut speech before the UN Security
Council.
The use of controversial chemical white phosphorous shells and depleted
uranium munitions, indiscriminate firing during the offensive in the
densely-populated coastal sliver, the shelling of a UN school turned refugee
camp, as well as the question as to whether other Israeli military tactics
were in breach of humanitarian laws are among the issues Tel Aviv has been
charged with.
Israel however rejects the war crimes allegations, saying that it is
fighting a 'noble war' against Hamas -- the democratically-elected ruler of
the Gaza Strip.
UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has announced that the UN would be
conducting a separate investigation into the Israeli attacks on its sites in
Gaza, Reuters reported.
This is while Rice has asked the international community "to refrain from
politicizing these important issues."
"There have also been numerous allegations made against Israel some of which
are deliberately designed to inflame, "she told the council during a meeting
on international humanitarian law.
She also accused Hamas of violating international law "through its rocket
attacks against Israeli civilians in southern Israel and the use of civilian
facilities to provide protection for its terrorist attacks."
Gaza fighters say the rocket launches are retaliatory measures in response
to Israel's deadly blockade on the costal strip and the frequent overnight
incursions by Israeli troops, who kill or kidnap Palestinians in the area.
Tel Aviv used the shelling as a pretext to launch an all-out military
campaign against the beleaguered Gaza Strip. The onslaught resulted in the
deaths of over 1,330 Palestinians - mostly women and children - and left
over 4,450 others wounded.

Policy of Deliberate Obstruction Continues Even After the Ceasefire:
* The amount of industrial diesel Israel has permitted to enter Gaza is
just 64% of the total needed to operate the power station.
* Since the fighting ended, Israel has totally obstructed the transfer of
vital spare parts needed to repair the electrical, water and sewage systems.
* As a result, 1/4 million people have been without electricity in Gaza
for the past month; power outages span 16-18 hours a day for the others.
* More than 200,000 people have no access to running water; the rest get
water for only a few hours every 2-5 days.
Wednesday, January 28, 2009 - Ten days after the ceasefire, and despite
promises to permit humanitarian aid to reach Gaza residents, Israel is
continuing its deliberate policy of restricting supply of industrial diesel
and humanitarian goods to the Gaza Strip.The policy, in place for the past
15 months, is preventing the supply of electricity to humanitarian
facilities in Gaza.
As a result of the restrictions on the supply of industrial diesel and the
mass devastation caused by the military operation, 1/4 million people have
been entirely without electricity for over a month, and more than 200,000
people are denied access to running water. Those who receive electricity --
suffer power outages of 16-18 hours per day, on average.
Ihab Abu Zaiter, a 32-year-old father of three, living east of Jabaliya,
whose home was partially destroyed in the bombings, has been living entirely
without electricity for the past month:"We don't buy any food that requires
refrigeration; it's like living in the Middle Ages," he said. "We light a
fire inside the house in order to keep the children warm.This is a very cold
month, and we can't sleep without the fire, but I'm afraid that the rest of
the house will catch fire or that the children will burn themselves."

Settlement data 'implicates Israel'

A leaked report on Jewish settlements in the West Bank shows that the
Israeli government was complicit in illegal construction on land owned by
Palestinians, an Israeli human rights group says.
Yesh Din said on Friday that the classsified information, compiled by the
Israeli defence ministry, would allow it to help Palestinians sue the
Israeli government for damages.
Michael Sfard, Yesh Din's legal counsel, said the information was a "severe
indictment" of Israel's military and government.
Israeli authorities are "systematically violating international law and the
property rights of Palestinian residents," he said in a statement.
The information leaked to the group shows that in three out of every four
settlements in the West Bank at least some of the construction was completed
without proper permits, Israel's Haaretz newspaper reported.
The daily said the database showed that, in more than 30 settlements,
extensive construction of buildings and infrastructure like roads, schools,
synagogues, and even police stations was carried out on private lands
belonging to Palestinians.
In one settlement, Elon Moreh, 18 houses were built on private land, the
reports says. In another, Efrat, a park and a synagogue were built on
privateland, and in a third, Ariel, a college was built without legal
approval.
Yesh Din said it would begin running advertisments in Palestinian newspapers
to encourage people to take legal action, and will also offer legal counsel,
the statement from the group said.
The database focuses on the 120 West bank settlements that have been
authorised by the Israeli government since it occupied the territory in
1967. About 100 other unauthorised outposts have also been established by
settlers.
The settlements are illegal under international law and the so-called "road
map" setting the course for Israeli-Palestinian negotiations calls for a
halt to their expansion.
There was no immediate comment from the Israeli government on the
conclusions of the report.

intentions to take full control of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip and
permanently keep the Golan Heights of Syria and expand into southern Lebanon
already well known, also have their eyes on parts of Iraq considered part of
a biblical "Greater Israel."
Israel reportedly has plans to relocate thousands of Kurdish Jews from
Israel, including expatriates from Kurdish Iran, to the Iraqi cities of
Mosul and Nineveh under the guise of religious pilgrimages to ancient Jewish
religious shrines. According to Kurdish sources, the Israelis are secretly
working with the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) to carry out the
integration of Kurdish and other Jews into areas of Iraq under control of
the KRG.
Kurdish, Iraqi Sunni Muslims, and Turkmen have noted that Kurdish Israelis
began to buy land in Iraqi Kurdistan, after the U.S. invasion in 2003, that
is considered historical Jewish "property."
The Israelis are particularly interested in the shrine of the Jewish prophet
Nahum in al Qush, the prophet Jonah in Mosul, and the tomb of the prophet
Daniel in Kirkuk. Israelis are also trying to claim Jewish "properties"
outside of the Kurdish region, including the shrine of Ezekiel in the
village of al-Kifl in Babel Province near Najaf and the tomb of Ezra in
al-Uzayr in Misan Province, near Basra, both in southern Iraq's
Shi'a-dominated territory. Israeli expansionists consider these shrines and
tombs as much a part of "Greater Israel" as Jerusalem and the West Bank,
which they call "Judea and Samaria."
Kurdish and Iraqi sources report that Israel's Mossad is working
hand-in-hand with Israeli companies and "tourists" to stake a claim to the
Jewish "properties" of Israel in Iraq. The Mossad has already been heavily
involved in training the Kurdish Pesha Merga military forces.
Reportedly assisting the Israelis are foreign mercenaries paid for by U.S.
Christian evangelical circles that support the concept of "Christian
Zionism."
Iraqi nationalists charge that the Israeli expansion into Iraq is supported
by both major Kurdish factions, including the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan
headed by Iraq's nominal President Jalal Talabani. Talabani's son, Qubad
Talabani, serves as the KRG's representative in Washington, where he lives
with his wife Sherri Kraham, who is Jewish.
Also supporting the Israeli land acquisition activities is the Kurdistan
Democratic Party, headed by Massoud Barzani, the president of the KRG. One
of Barzani's five sons, Binjirfan Barzani, is reportedly heavily involved
with the Israelis.
The Israelis and their Christian Zionist supporters enter Iraq not through
Baghdad but through Turkey. In order to depopulate residents of lands the
Israelis claim, Mossad operatives and Christian Zionist mercenaries are
staging terrorist attacks against Chaldean Christians, particularly in
Nineveh, Irbil, al-Hamdaniya, Bartalah, Talasqaf, Batnayah, Bashiqah,
Elkosheven, Uqrah, and Mosul.
These attacks by the Israelis and their allies are usually reported as being
the responsibility of "Al Qaeda" and other Islamic "jihadists."
The ultimate aim of the Israelis is to depopulate the Christian population
in and around Mosul and claim the land as biblical Jewish land that is part
of "Greater Israel." The Israeli/Christian Zionist operation is a replay of
the depopulation of the Palestinians in the British mandate of Palestine
after World War II.
In June 2003, a delegation of Israelis visited Mosul and said that it was
Israel's intentions, with the assistance of Barzani, to establish Israeli
control of the shrine of Jonah in Mosul and the shrine of Nahum in the Mosul
plains. The Israelis said Israeli and Iranian Jewish pilgrims would travel
via Turkey to the area of Mosul and take over lands where Iraqi Christians

the Land of Israel and was exiled from its homeland. Every Israeli
schoolchild is taught that this happened during the period of Roman rule, in
70 CE. The nation remained loyal to its land, to which it began to return
after two millennia of exile. Wrong, says the historian Shlomo Zand, in one
of the most fascinating and challenging books published here in a long time.
There never was a Jewish people, only a Jewish religion, and the exile also
never happened - hence there was no return. Zand rejects most of the stories
of national-identity formation in the Bible, including the exodus from Egypt
and, most satisfactorily, the horrors of the conquest under Joshua. It's all
fiction and myth that served as an excuse for the establishment of the State
of Israel, he asserts.
According to Zand, the Romans did not generally exile whole nations, and
most of the Jews were permitted to remain in the country. The number of
those exiled was at most tens of thousands. When the country was conquered
by the Arabs, many of the Jews converted to Islam and were assimilated among
the conquerors. It follows that the progenitors of the Palestinian Arabs
were Jews. Zand did not invent this thesis; 30 years before the Declaration
of Independence, it was espoused by David Ben-Gurion, Yitzhak Ben-Zvi and
others.
If the majority of the Jews were not exiled, how is it that so many of them
reached almost every country on earth? Zand says they emigrated of their own
volition or, if they were among those exiled to Babylon, remained there
because they chose to. Contrary to conventional belief, the Jewish religion
tried to induce members of other faiths to become Jews, which explains how
there came to be millions of Jews in the world. As the Book of Esther, for
example, notes, "And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the
fear of the Jews fell upon them."
Zand quotes from many existing studies, some of which were written in Israel
but shunted out of the central discourse. He also describes at length the
Jewish kingdom of Himyar in the southern Arabian Peninsula and the Jewish
Berbers in North Africa. The community of Jews in Spain sprang from Arabs
who became Jews and arrived with the forces that captured Spain from the
Christians, and from European-born individuals who had also become Jews.
The first Jews of Ashkenaz (Germany) did not come from the Land of Israel
and did not reach Eastern Europe from Germany, but became Jews in the Khazar
Kingdom in the Caucasus. Zand explains the origins of Yiddish culture: it
was not a Jewish import from Germany, but the result of the connection
between the offspring of the Kuzari and Germans who traveled to the East,
some of them as merchants.
We find, then, that the members of a variety of peoples and races, blond and
black, brown and yellow, became Jews in large numbers. According to Zand,
the Zionist need to devise for them a shared ethnicity and historical
continuity produced a long series of inventions and fictions, along with an
invocation of racist theses. Some were concocted in the minds of those who
conceived the Zionist movement, while others were offered as the findings of
genetic studies conducted in Israel.

promote the idea that Israel should be a "state of all its citizens" - Jews,

Stand with Us rallies supporting Apartheid Israel and teach the participants
what Apartheid Israel is really all about. Bring your guns and rubber

A few of you will be positioned on tall surrounding buildings so you can

feces and urine. The IOF is just fascinated with feces and of course we want
our effort to look, feel and smell authentic. Then as the group runs towards
the rest of us to avoid the stench we will mow them down with rubber
bullets. Those that make it to our line will be beaten senseless with our
Palestinian beating sticks. Then as the ambulances arrive we will block them
so they cannot assist our victims. In the IOF they really enjoy watching
their victims bleed to death while wreathing in pain. Then as a Jewish
mother tries to make her way out out of the cloud of tear gas with her young
children waving her white flag of surrender, perhaps one of you (I couldn't
be so soulless) could shoot her and her children dead, just like the IOF did
to a young Palestinian woman and her children in Gaza a few weeks ago. Then
as things may be getting hot we will retreat with a few of our victims and
occupy their homes just like the IOF does. While there we will steal all
that is worth stealing and terrorise their families. Then before leaving we
will leave the signature pile of IOF doo doo on their carpets. Doesn't this
sound like fun?
Now, who wants to join me? Who wants to help teach some American Jews and
Israel's other friends what Apartheid Israel is really all about? What? None
of you? None of you could act like this? Yea me neither, but its an
interestinig thought. None of us would ever make in the Israeli Occupation
