tml> The rise of a Nazi-like party in Israel: Ysrael Beiteinu
The mainstream American news media has given very little coverage to a
startling development in Israel. A new party is rising very fast. It is
reminiscent of the fast rise of the Nazis in Germany during the 1930's. The
hate platform of this new party is primarily directed against the Arabs who
live inside Israel. Its political ideology is very close to vanilla-type
regular Nazi ideology. The party that I am talking about is called Ysrael
Beiteinu, led by Avigdor Lieberman. I do not know if the guy is related to
Joe Lieberman, the number one warmonger and former Democrat who represents
the state of Connecticut in the United States Senate.
Ysrael Beiteinu is a rabid Zionist supremacy party in Israel, who came in
third in the recent parliamentary elections in that nation, eclipsing the
Labor Party, who used to be a leftist party, but who under the leadership of
Ehud Barack is now not really any different than the right-wing Likud Party,
who is lead by Super Fascist Benjamin Netanyahu. It was Ehud Barack, who as
Defense Minister conducted the recent Zionist genocide against the
Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, most of them innocent civilians, including a
very high number of women and children.
Listen to the policies which the Ysrael Beiteinu party favors:
1) Mr. Avigdor Lieberman wants to take away Israeli citizenship from those
whom his party considers "disloyal." George W. Bush would have been very
proud and would have supported this type of policy had he been able to
remain in office.
2) His party has the following slogan: "No citizenship without loyalty." It
was directed at Israeli Arabs. Mr. Lieberman accused them of being a fifth
column.
Some in the Israeli press have said that a historical example of what Mr.
Lieberman is proposing is very similar to the 1935 Nazi law respecting
"citizenship certificates".
An Israeli psychology professor explained in an op-ed piece in an Israeli
newspaper what the danger consists of. He wrote: "Without loyalty there's no
citizenship." Seemingly, this is so logical and speaks to our sense of
natural justice. This is why this slogan seems legitimate. Why should the
State bestow its good upon those who are disloyal or do not wish it well?
However, this is a trap that shall lead us to a life of fear. After all, who
will be determining the loyalty threshold? And how shall we distinguish
disloyalty to the State from disagreement with the position of authorities?
The moment loyalty will be determined by authorities, any kind of criticism
will be interpreted as disloyalty."
He also said that "The motto 'without loyalty there's no citizenship'
belongs in the darkest regimes. In such regimes, people are detained,
tortured, sent to labor or rehabilitation camps, or simply "disappear"
because someone suspected they are disloyal. In such regimes, citizens live
in fear and are scared to speak up lest someone interpret their words as
criticism."
Examples of this type of regime were Batista in Cuba, Somoza in Nicaragua
and Pinochet in Chile. All those governments were actively supported by the
United States government.
Will the United States under President Obama, support the policies of Mr.
Avigdor Lieberman's Ysrael Beiteinu party if it comes to power in Israel?
