John O'Neill's Background

He had been with the FBI for 20 years, and was involved in investigating a
number of terrorist cases, including the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. He
was considered the FBI's top man on terrorism. In the late 1990's, he became
very attuned to Israel's involvement in many terror operations.

Following the bombing of the World Trade Center in 1993, he had become the
foremost expert on the global threat from terrorism

Abu Nidal

Abu Nidal was the leader of the infamous Black September terror
organization, and spent 30 years hijacking jets and planting bombs for
Israel intelligence. O'Neill suspected Abu Nidal was a Mossad operative and
talked openly about it with other field agents.

He took a team of FBI agents to Yemen, where his investigation pointed to
Israeli involvement.

attacked, the FBI sent a team led by John O'Neill who immediately suspected
Israeli involvement. Bodine started an intense political battle to oust
O'Neill.

Bodine wanted to control the investigation, and resented the fact that
suddenly there were hundreds of FBI personnel in the country.

Albright provided a handful of State Department personnel to watch the
investigation.

Bodine wanted O'Neill to drop his bodyguards and he became suspicious of
Mossad assassination. Bodine and Madeleine Albright finally went to the
Zionist Jewish FBI Director, Louis Freeh, to remove John O'Neill from Yemen.

Then January 2001 came, and O'Neill wanted to go back to Yemen. But,
Ambassador Bodine wouldn't give him clearance. In July 2001, O'Neill
resigned from the FBI.

Larry Silverstein Offered Him a Job

 In September of 2001, mere days before 9/11, he got a job offer from Larry
Silverstein (owner of WTC). Oddly, O'Neill was missing for two days before
9/11 -miraculously his body was discovered in tact in the WTC ruins.

Deputy Office Director. Ambassador Bodine has also had assignments as Deputy
Principal Officer in Baghdad, and as Deputy Chief of Mission in Kuwait
during the Iraqi invasion and occupation in 1990. She was awarded the
Secretary of State's Award for Valor for her work in occupied Kuwait during
the Gulf War.

Following Kuwait, Bodine was the Associate Coordinator for Operations and
later served as the Acting Coordinator for Counterterrorism. She also spent
a year as the Director of East African Affairs.

On November 7, 1997, Bodine was appointed to be Ambassador to the Republic
of Yemen. During her posting in San'a', the destroyer Cole was bombed in a
terrorist attack (see the October 12, 2000, USS Cole bombing). In 1999, she
negotiated to release three Americans kidnapped in Yemen.   In January 2001,
en-route to the Yemeni city of Taiz to meet with the country's president, a
flight carrying Ambassador Bodine and 90 other passengers from Yemen was
hijacked mid-flight. The plane was diverted to the tiny African nation
Djibouti in the Horn of Africa, where it landed without further incident. [
Camp Lemonier (or Camp Le Monier) in Djibouti  is a United States Marine
Corps Base and forward operating site and is home to Combined Joint Task
Force - Horn of Africa (CJTF-HOA) of the United States Africa Command, for
counter-terrorism .]  Bodine left Yemen as ambassador on August 30, 2001.

Bodine's career was marked by controversy when details of an alleged
conflict with the FBI investigation of the USS Cole bombing came to light.
According to a number of sources, including the PBS Frontline documentary
"The Man Who Knew" , Bodine's actions may have inhibited the FBI's
investigation into the Cole attack. In particular, her conflict with FBI
agent John P. O'Neill, wherein she denied his re-entry into Yemen to
continue his command of the FBI investigation into the USS Cole bombing, is
alleged to have slowed the investigation. Her actions potentially
contributed to the intelligence failure that resulted in the September 11,
2001 attacks. The details of this conflict are documented in Lawrence
Wright's book The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11.

After serving in Yemen, Bodine became Diplomat in Residence at the
University of California at Santa Barbara, until the March 2003 Invasion of
Iraq when she was appointed coordinator for central Iraq in charge of
Baghdad. In the summer of 2003, she was fired by the Coalition Provisional
Authority  and returned to Washington.
