Subject: Prepopulation of Save As dialog
Hi

When performing a Save As... for a single file at a specific revision
in the Repository Browser, the file name in the dialog is blank.
Would it be possible to have this prepopulated with the filename that
was selected in the Repository Browser?  Saves having to type it into
the dialog.

I'm using TortoiseSVN 1.5.1, Build 13563 - 32 Bit , 2008/07/26
09:47:57, Subversion 1.5.1, apr 1.2.12, apr-utils 1.2.12, berkeley db
4.4.20, neon 0.28.2, OpenSSL 0.9.8g 19 Oct 2007, zlib 1.2.3
on MS Windows XP Pro SP2.

Regards
Reuben Helms

Why don't you just drag the file from the repository browser to the
explorer?

In most applications "Save As" is analogous to "I want to save this
file with a new name." In that scenario, pre-populating the filename
would cause more typing effort.

That's true, but in this case you are saving into another location,
and then using the same name does make sense. I would like to see
filename.ext as default when looking at HEAD in the repository browser
and filename.[revision].ext as the default when not looking at HEAD.

I could drag it, I guess, but I dont use TSVN UI that often,
preferring to use Eclipse for most of my SVN operations, and falling
back to TSVN when there is something Eclipse doesnt do.  As a result,
I'll try and keep things as explicit as possible.

But if the original name of the file isn't supposed to be pre
populated, then so be it.

Half points, I think.

"In most applications" the Save As option will still prepopulate the
filename, and have it fully selected in preparation for the typing of
a new name or pasting of a different name, causing no extra typing
effort at all.
