My apologies if I'm not formatting this correctly or sending to the wrong group/address.

I believe this is a bug in the newest version of Tortoise with previously locked files.

I have files checked out on my local machine previously checked out by a version before 1.6 (I think 1.5.8 or 1.5.9)

I've since locked those files

I then installed version 1.6 today and rebooted as requested.

Now, when I try to check a file back in that has been updated, I'm getting the following error:

Command: Commit
Modified: C:\file\checked_out_file_name.sql
Sending content: C:\file\checked_out_file_name.sql
Error: Commit failed (details follow):
Error: Server sent unexpected return value (423 Locked) in response to PUT request for '/code/!svn/wrk/5a36fc09-0924-8e46-ba32-79e7d7793b8a/checked_in_path/file/checked_out_file_name.sql'
Finished!:

In order to resolve this issue, I have to go in to Tortoise, break the lock, go back to my local machine, run the SVN Get Lock, then I can check the file back in.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

Did you do a fresh checkout after upgrading? If yes, then you don't own
those locks anymore since a lock is not assigned to a user but a working
copy (you could have more than one working copy).

If however you're still using the same working copy, try running update
on that working copy to trigger the format update. If you then still get
that error, you should report this on the subversion mailing list.
