It seems like TortoiseGit doesn't know about the staging area (index). When I select "Add..." from the TGit context menu, it shows me files that exist but haven't been added to the repo. It doesn't show me files that have been modified but not yet committed.

This is a problem when I want to checkout (switch to) a different branch. Git won't let you do this unless you add the modified files to the staging area. But TGit has no way to do that.

Am I missing something? Or is this just the way it is at present? Thanks,

Don

Hi,

In TortoiseGit you can achieve that by using StashSave..
