Subject: M6 Bolts
Hey all,

A friend of mine is trying to get a M6 80mm (or longer!) long hex head
bolt and a M6 wing nut. They only seem to be available in 100
quantities.

Anyone know any other sources or interested in splitting quantities?

All the best,

Chris

The best place that I've found to get Metric fasteners in small quantities
is Canadian Tire. The location on lakeshore rd seems to have the largest
selection.

If that fails, Brafasco has everything and no minimum order (although they
may look at you funny when you ask for *one* M6 bolt)

BTW the scarborough Brafasco location is the distribution centre for all of
the Toronto locations (as I recall) and has the most stock.

I usually get my fasteners from Home Depot or Canadian Tire. I find Home
Depot generally has a much larger selection.

Hey Chris; I work by a place called R.E. Glover and they're alright for odd
quantities like yours, I can give them a look over if you'd like.

Hey Chris;

Here's a picture of what I've found, but they don't have any wing nuts and
they only carry partially threaded.

Hey all,

Thanks for your help! The suggestions are all appreciated!

George, I really appreciate you looking into that. I'm not sure if
that would work for my friend, but if it does I'll put you in touch.
:)

All the best,

Chris

I know this is an old thread but i thought this might be useful. i needed
M3 machine bolts around 20mm or so. the canadian tire at lakeshore (which
is near me) only goes down to M4. they do have M3 nuts. it turns out there
is a good fastener company (among other things) on Carlaw just north of the
Lakeshore called Fastenal. google them. they are multi-national and have a
huge catalogue. i was not able to buy the bolts in single units but rather
had to buy a box of 100 but it was only $11. i got long ones so i can cut
them shorter as needed. they stock a lot but from what i understand
anything in their online catalogue is available to order. you can set up an
account, order online and they will contact you when the stuff is in.
