Database Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES The primary function is to develop databases and
analytical applications that are used by multiple departments to
manage corporate margins and client cost. The role includes data
design, creation of ETL processes, SQL development, connectivity with
user interfaces, and user interface development. Significant
analytical skills will be required to effectively design applications
which identify, summarize, and provide insight into critical strategic
and tactical business issues. Position will be responsible for
maintaining existing applications as well as the development of new or
enhanced models, applications, or reporting tools as necessary to
support new and existing products. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree or
equivalent business experience. Must have a strong collection of
technical skills combined with strong analytical competencies, and
above all the ability to learn quickly. Solid knowledge of SQL,
including some experience with ETL (data Extract/Transform/Load).
Experience in database design.

Significant experience in at least one programming language. Knowledge
of Business Objects a plus; advanced knowledge of Excel and Access
desired. Strong analytical skills ranging from problem identification
through proposal of potential solutions. Intense attention to detail.
