We are a stealth mode company focusing on developing video content for
a highly-specialized vertical.  The founding team is comprised of
several media and technology executives, including veterans of Google
and YouTube.  We have built professional studios in downtown Manhattan
and are professionally producing content each day.  Our engineering
team is aggressively building our core product, an online social video
site that will feature our content.

 Working for an early stage company, you will have the opportunity to
develop a large scale website from the ground up that we anticipate
will provide service to users throughout the world. We are aiming to
launch within 3 months.  Your responsibilities will be to help design
and develop a highly scalable Ruby on Rails based web site, with a
strong focus on front-end implementation and user interface design.
Online video and web 2.0 functionality are the most important pieces
of the website; so experience with Flash video, especially on the
client side is a huge plus.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who have many of the following
qualifications:

Experience
-Excellent C++ coding skills
- Experience and track record of Ruby on Rails development is a huge
plus
- Experience in building interactive web 2.0 sites and services using
AJAX, JavaScript, XML, HTML, CSS in a MySQL/Postgre Linux environment
- Strong web front-end and user interface design experience
- Experience with Flash video (media streaming, encoding, client-side
ActionScript)
- Development experience in PHP, Python within the context of web
application engineering is a huge plus
- Outstanding design skills so that you can take specs and
requirements and write production-ready code
- Ability to performance-tune and scale a high-traffic website
- Proficient in using various open source tools to speed development
- Familiarity with programming on mobile devices and operating systems
a plus
- Motivated self-starter that can accurately set goals and deadlines
- Great communication skills and adaptive attitude to work with
several people remotely
- Excitement to work aggressively in a fast-paced environment and help
build a great product!

Education
- B.S. or advanced degree in Computer Science or related Engineering
