I have a basic plan for starting a POS for the hsckerspace. Incremental steps.
First phase, just for dev, buttons to add cash and coin. Later will remove them and interface the real hardware.

A simple credit up system, plus some items, names and values read from a simple table or database.

Finally a simple back end accounting system.

I know its actually quite a lot, but not out of reach in learning by doing.

I could nock it together in a weekend on visual basic. But everyone would have an opinion about that. ;)
