Don't forget today lunar eclipse...
Get your cameras ready... the beer cold and get some nice spot on a
park bench to enjoy the show. (This is a rather long show, so don't
worry to be to late!!!)
If you are not in photography you might instead take your wife, hubby,
girlfriend, boyfriend, kids, cat, dog, or pick-and-place machine with
you. A sort of reddish full moon might be just nice to watch....

Enjoy

finger crossed.

If its too cloudy... take more beer. Doesn't help against the clouds
but keeps your mood at a high level ;)

Fnark.
I had a phone reminder set up and everything.
Unfortunately had a splitting headache most of the evening and was
knocked out in bed.

Even in Niigata there was too much cloud... 31 floors were not enough
to get above the cloud line :-|

On the other news: Venus passing in front of the Sun...

How is the weather in Tokyo?
I got a few shots in the morning where the sun sneaked out from the
otherwise totally covered sky. But well as for the eclipse the need of
two filters + (this time) a 2x extender does not really improve the
image quality. I wasn't able to control the shoots since you can't see
anything on an LCD of a camera pointing to the sun. I made a dozen or
more shoots and went in the house to see the results... I got the Sun,
the Venus and a lot of speckles the size of the Venus....
...well you get those speckles if your camera assistant is a three
year old... grrr... yeah daddy loves you for this personal touch of
his pictures!

Totally bad, was raining in the morning, now it tries to clear (too late!)...

Use an old school black velvet to cover camera and head... I used a jacket.

LoL, I spent some time cleaning my lenses this morning, run out of
lens paper and ended up ordering all types of lens paper from
Yodobashi. Will do a review soon!

Cheers,
Kalin.

yeah... nothing good here neither, but glad you got to see it!

Kalin, I was watching some video tutorial on how to clean lenses, they were saying microfiber cloths are best (1 wet and one to dry) and better than paper...
I always used paper for lens and microfiber for monitors...
does it really matter?
