I showed Taylan at the meeting, but http://www.aisan.co.jp/ is a store
in Akihabara that advertises RFID and sells in less-than-bulk orders.
Perhaps it's a better avenue?

I too say that lets cancel that order and get those printed ones. If possible. I just started hating those guys. Like really really hate.
I have to check out that shop in person this weekend, the website looks really weird to me, couldn't find anything. But will look for 125 kHz cards over there.
Also as a note: Current system has readers for EM4100 compatible (125 kHz) cards which only contain an ID number (5 bytes). If we go for Mifare cards, we have to get readers for them too, at least 2 of them (one for the door and one for adding/editing cards on the system). We will again use the ID number but this time 4 bytes. + Mifare cards are usually a little bit more expensive.
Well, however we go is up to you. Everything is ready on my side, just waiting for the cards. But if we switch to another reader, I may need some time to get that added to the system.

and totally a special for THS, we could just make it a DIY workshop , it is
actually very easy.
he did not have professional support and made a mess (IMO, quickly judging
from pics, I didn't re-read the article now) but still:

Hehehe, I'll try to check out the shop in Akihabara and if they don't have the ones I need or it is really expensive I'll go with the eBay offer.
I want one implanted in my **** so I have an excuse for waving it around!

Ahhh sorry Taylan to say, but they are not that small.... But seriously
there are stickers too. Should fit behind the battery cover of mobile
phones.
