Software QA Engineer

The Software SQA Engineer is responsible for understanding the
specifications, test designs, write and maintain test documents;
conduct all tests and automation of the tests. Target system includes
carrier grade server and network equipment, wireless terminals and
WiFi networks.

Duties

· Understand the systems and produce test plans

· Develop a system test bed and perform tests on it

· Provide and meet time estimates for assigned deliverables

· Generate detailed and relevant documentation

· Create specifications based on the test results and feedback from
customers

· Develop automation of the testing

· Communicate clear goals, processes, & procedures to representatives
with varied skill sets (software engineers and managers)

· Conduct research using varied sources to assist software engineers
with development

· Participate in architectural reviews and analysis to ensure the
efficacy of technical solutions

· Any additional duties as assigned by manager

Required Skills and Education

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or
related field

· Knowledge of TCP/IP networking protocols

· Knowledge of Open Source software

· Knowledge of UNIX and/or Linux

· Experience with MS Office and Adobe Products

· Must be a self-starter, have good interpersonal skills, a positive
attitude

· Must have effective communication skills, verbal and written

· Must be a team player and have a willingness to listen to others

· Ability to overcome challenging problems

Preferred Skills and Education

· Knowledge of structured testing techniques and methodologies

· 1+ year(s) of programming experience and/or scripting languages
experience/knowledge

· Hands-on experience with various IT products Network Routing
algorithms’ knowledge helpful
