"Buster Williams Fire Chief's Helmet"

Cairns "Senator" Helmet
This helmet was worn by Fire Chief Buster Williams for 67 years.  I talked with some of us old hands that worked under his time, there is only a handful of us left. We agreed that when Buster Unit (101) had his Helmet on he was usually jumping on someone's BUTT.  And that when the heat was on, he would also stutter just a little when he had a working fire and giving orders.  Always he had his walkie/talkie in his hand and was pointing his finger giving orders.   Provided by:  Bob Dudley, BDudley@Pro-Fire.Com   Cell: 731-234-6896

Final bids will be taken at the Tennessee Fire Chiefs Annual Banquet in Nashville on July 14, 2009. Online bidders do not have to be present at the banquet as the three top online bidders for each item will be contacted and offered a chance to make final bids over the phone in the final minutes of the auction process.  Payment for items is expected to be in full at the time of receiving the item or prior to receiving the item if bid out over the internet.  Bid generously as these are very nice items.
