BE dogrusunu E yönünde BE=EE' olcak şekilde uzatın. Bu durumda ABE' üçgeni AB=AE'=16 olur ve m(CAE')=alfa olur. E'C yi çizerseniz BE'C üçgeninde DE orta taban olacağından E'C=2x olur. İç ters açıların eşitliğinden mE'CA=alfa olacağından 2x=16 ve x=8 bulunur.
