Fermat teoremine göre, eğer a ve p aralarında asal ve p asal ise,

a^(p-1)=1 (mod p) (= denk)

7^100=1 (Mod 101)

7^103= 7^(100)*7^3=1*7*7*7=343=40 (Mod101)
