Wait until your neck long long ler.
Word is that it may not be released in every country in Asia because
Apple want to use the tie-up concept like with AT&T in the US. You
cannot just buy one from somewhere and plug in a sim card and expect
to be able to use it. You have to sign up a certain plan for a certain
time period (2 years in the US) with a certain telco in order to
unlock the phone and use all its features.
However, hackers in the US are able to bypass this locked-phone
feature and use the phone as an iPod and its PDA functions but not the
phone itself.
Khairy Jamaludin bought two iPhones on his recent trip to the USA and
sign up with AT&T over there for 2 years in order to use the phone.
Now that he is back in Malaysia, I suppose he can still use the phone
but every incoming call and outgoing calls/sms will be charged at
international roaming rates so he will be paying his phone bill
through his nose. On second thought, he may be paying his phone bill
with his spare change.
The iPhone also cannot simply change battery wan because the battery
is soldered to the phone's board. In the USA if you want to change the
battery it will cost you US$80 and you have to send the phone to an
Apple dealer or something and needs 3 days to do the job.
Granted the iPhone is insanely great (I thought so at first and still
thinks so), with all the above hassles, I don't think I want one.
Anyway I am already over my upgrade-a-new-phone-every-3-months phase
so I don't think I will miss it much....
...until I actually hold one in my hands.... :-)

point... so i guess i'll drool after the N75 then... any comments on
this phone? ( i know, online got review.)
Get Dopod 838pro, can get second hand for RM1800.
i smashed mine in anger. its a pile of crap.
A very expensive piece of crap.
Doh, you could have sold it for RM1800. Anyway you're
not experienced enough to use it, get more xp first - kill a bunch
more monsters and do some quests.
Dude... my advice... go for nokia E-61i... now with camera...
Same brother with my E70. Do a fine job for me...
Cost only rm1680 Avaxx set...
All these convergence gadgets running on Windows Mobile 5 are usually not
worth the effort. The newer WM6 is slightly better though.
So you like thin-and-wide, huh?
you mean 36 26 30... wait... was it
34 28 30....38 30 32.... ahhhggggghhrrrr!.. I cant decide...
Now see... what you have done....!!!!
My cable drawing messy now....
link 3230250a link to 342830.... that's a nice number...
that looks pretty sweet, but i dunno. im kinda attracted to the n75.
music playing capabilities n stuff.
w00t, Dopod provided free WM6 upgrade for Dopod 838pro, just installed
it and it's awesome. Now time to play around.
:-)
hilarious.
you mean once i suffer with it enough it will stop hanging on me?
It hardly hangs on me (can't remember the last time), the trick is
when it feels like it's getting slow, do a hard reset.
These are some of the things I can do with my dopod
anytime, anywhere, which is why my next phone is definitely
gonna be a PDA.
1) Browse the internet, emails etc
2) I have a whole offline dictionary & thesaurus there
3) I have mp3's and movies, battery lasts a long time
4) I can stream movies / radios / podcast
5) RSS on the go
6) Read local newspapers & many international publications for free
7) I can play MUD games using telnet
8) I can connect to my linux server using SSH
9) I can VNC to any computer
10) I can play loads of game
11) I can "spider" a website and offline view it in my PDA
12) Get weather update
13) Camera flash can act like torchlight (saved me a couple of times)
14) I only need to carry 1 device to do all these, plus more

Odd you did not mention : 15) I can make phone calls with it.
*run*
*chuckles*. wombat, you're a genius.
I enjoyed all of that too. But the hanging was too much, especially when
it hangs silently in your pocket for no reason and you miss important
calls the whole day because you don't know it hung.
My next PDA Phone that will do all of that will not run Windows Mobile
of any version.

speaking of being born... did you know that Chuck Norris was born in a
log house that he built with his bare hands. think about it.

Lies! How he cut the logs with bare hands?
Judo chop!
tsk tsk tsk. rkaru rkaru... so innocent. so naive. this is chuck norris
we're talking about! what are logs compared to his fists of death? i
mean, come on, when bruce banner gets angry, he turns into the hulk. but
when the hulk gets angry, he turns into chuck norris.
and then he chops dude's chops.
chops? lamb chops?
Chops is a slang for jaw.
