Pro Sound or Eddies guitars does that, think it's pro sound - only works on
boutique amps obviously.

without a doubt, the most thorough and fair is chris villani
at acme guitars on clayton and tamm. acmes number is 645-6670, ask for chris.
i have been taking my amps there since my bass player/mad scientist nate bacon left town and he does an incredible job, always goes the extra mile to clean ALL connections and vacuums out the cabinet all for an incredibly reasonable cost.

I've used Steve at Gravity Strings, always got the job done at a very reasonable price, quick turnaround if you catch him on the days he's there. He also does work for other shops like Fazio and others. I don't know if Pancho is still around with PAR electronics, he's always been a good tech.

Has anyone else taken an amp to killer vintage and had it take a
ridiculously long time to get it fixed? I've had a bass head there for
two months. I've called several times and they keep telling me they'll
let me know...

Kevin - I had an issue w/ having a speaker re-coned, but it was
because they had to send it to some guy that isn't their normal amp
tech. Otherwise, we haven't had a problem with them.
