I am wondering if anyone has a good activity around competing the square?  I am in need of an activity.  I have the operators/programs in the adds/tns, but I am wondering if anyone has made a good activity?

Thanks

I am curious, what does Muka, CGC, TDI, CL2, CL3-F, CL3-S, CL3-H, TN-
O, and WV-N stand for.

Check the file archive here in the group page or in
http://www.lafacroft.com/?q=node/2

You have the add library by Steve Arnold and a complete the square
activity by Andy Kemp. I think they're more or less what you're
looking for.

Cheers,
Nelson

Well remembered!  I had forgotten I had written that!

I found this one on the TI Activities Exchange site. Haven't used it,
so I can't recommend, but it's worth checking out. If the link doesn't
work, go to education.ti.com and seach the Activities Exchange for
"completing the square"

Should have been at the Metropolitan Mathematics Club meeting in
Chicago on Friday night. There was FANTASTIC Nspire-based presentation
on completing the square.

You access the presentation materials, including the Nspire file, at

Ok, One, I have been working on a very cool Completing the square document that Steve Arnold has so graciously been helping with!  He has done some amazing work!  SO I am finally getting to the question regarding of the stuff at the bottom of my signature.  Muka (Brown) and Jibay (Black and white) are my two dogs that in my non math life I run in dog agility (they do those obstacle courses with jumps, tunnels weave poles etc).  My older dog (Muka) is now semi-retired and the younger one is just hitting her prime.  As a matter of fact along with working the completing the square, we spent the weekend at an agility trial in which she accumulated 2 fourth place finishes, 2 third place finishes and 3 second place finishes.

Im attaching a copy of a picture that a friend of mine painted of the two girls in watercolors.  I hope this helps the currious!  I love these girls a lot so I am glad someone asked!

I couldn't agree more (of course, I'm a bit biased about the
presentation!). Watch the Prezi presentation, then open up the Nspire
file provided on the PBWorks site.
