TI-84 OS 2.55MP

Tonight I'll helping present a webinar on the TI-84 to some science teachers. (It is part of http://www.newteachercenter.org/eMSS/menu.php?p=home ).
We'll be telling them about APPS and what is new with the TI-84. In preparation I noticed that 2.55MP came out today.
I know what is nice about the 2.53 MathPrint (http://bird-godlydominion.blogspot.com/2010/02/mathprint-on-ti-84_15.html ), but what is new with the 2.55? See the attached pdfs for more details.

There are some additional improvements/flexibility with statistics. I found another option on page two of MODE, there is a new setting for Stat Wizards. The default is 'on'.

-Wizards are available for the following functions and commands:
o All menu items in [STAT] CALC
      Statistics and Regression Equations
o All menu items in [DISTR] DISTR
o All menu items in [DISTR] DRAW
o Only the seq( function in [LIST] OPS
Wizards are not available if you select a function or command from
[CATALOG]. From [CATALOG], the function or command will
paste as in earlier versions of the OS.

Also, 2 options have been added to Press to Test, allowing you to disable logbase() and summation.

I'm sure this is in response to teachers requests. You can enter Press to Test on the 84 by holding down both the left and right arrows when the unit is turned on.

Last year the 2.53MP came out. The 83's OS cannot be updated, but it does have an "APP4MATH" that will let it have some Math Print. See http://education.ti.com/calculators/downloads/US/Software/Search/Results?cp=2
My Nspire friends may have noticed why it jumped from 2.53 to 2.55. Nspires with the 84 keypad had 2.54. According to the pdf, soon they will have 2.56.

wow, nice pdf docs---that's a lot of work...especially if you're in nspire land and don't frequent 84 land.  I forwarded the email along.

Just by chance I downloaded 2.55 MP this morning and showed it to my AP Stats class this afternoon.  They will all have it soon.  Really a great step forward during our transition to the Nspire.  At least for those of us who teach stats and data analysis it is a very valuable upgrade.
