I don't have Navigator, yet. I plan to this year.
I suggest TI re-think their policy of number of installs......On the
premise that the software cost them more than the hardware, why
couldn't they allow several installs? I would like to loan my
Navigator to others for them to try it out. The laptop/cart
configuration puts an extra hurdle in the path. One must have the
calc-backs to communicate, so having the software reside on many
computers seems workable. However, I don't want to complain too much--
I am delighted they are offering student software for free (how long
will this last? It was ~$70) and had the Learn-to-Earn for teacher
software (if I could just get more colleagues to try it!), so they
probably have a feasible reason.
Also, at $2700 per teacher, those leery of hardware upgrades and
hesitant of how wonderful it is will balk...(several years ago I opted
to have a colleague try out Navigator 1.0 with 83/84 instead of me.
She liked it for the most part, but it was a bumpy ride. I assume
it is improved now)
