Hey,
I just received 30 new CX nSpires and I want to upgrade their OS.  I used the Dock to charge them, and now I want to know what kind of cable connects a CX Dock to a computer?
Is it a big USB to a big USB, or a big USB to a small USB (what comes with the calculators), or something else?

I have Nav...is there an easy way to use that to update?  (Seems like a hassle for their logins??? I'm not sure.)

I haven't used my Dock in a long time.

Thanks,
Travis

Not sure what kind of cable connects the dock to the computer. Look!

Navigator can update OSs using the Transfer Tool: no login needed. Lust locate the OS file and start transfer. Teacher Software can do the same thing using the docking station and a cable.

thanks
[I was not careful enough when unpacking...the Dock has an in and out for daisy chaining I presume...the computer cable wasn't locating the docked calcs (but it did charge them!)]

So now I will try the Nav to update the OS.  But that means putting all the cradles on and clicking....I was hoping to use the Dock in one fell swoop.  I'll try again.  I did unplug my Nav AP.

I'm fairly sure the doc doesn't come with a USB cable and just uses the standard USB computer to Nspire cable to connect to the input on the dock, the output is to daisy chain the docks and would use a nspire to nspire mini usb cable.

However I haven't used a doc for ages so I'm going from my vague memory!

TI Cares got me straight.
1 Always have the latest OS.  {I should have remembered that!  But I had not used my TS in a while]
2 Turn off computer and restart.

[I tried different usb ports, different cables]

Problem solved.   Doing a batch OS update with Dock seems more efficient when you have 10+ brand new non-charged CX's.  Just remember #1 and 2 above.
Now for the engraving and barcoding....
