Subject: The official command aliases thread
A lot of people told us they would like it if there were more command
aliases. Teddyber is one of them (http://groups.google.com/group/
timmyontime/browse_thread/thread/bf53b8ec7327c088) and it gave me the
idea to create a specific thread about it.

Just write the name of the actual command + the alias you would like
to see.

So far we have :

Actual : remove
Proposed alias : delete
Applies to : projects, tasks
Requested by : teddyber

Actual : create project
Proposed alias : cp
Applies to : projects
Requested by : teddyber

Actual : create task
Proposed alias : ct
Applies to : tasks
Requested by : teddyber

Actual : create reminder
Proposed alias : cr
Applies to : reminders
Requested by : teddyber

Actual : list
Proposed alias : ls
Applies to : projets, tasks, reminders
Requested by : Dan

Actual : cancel
Proposed alias : abort
Applies to : everything
Requested by : Frank

Actual : move
Proposed alias : mv
Applies to : projects, tasks
Requested by : Frank

My bad, move is just for tasks, not projects

Actual : list
Proposed alias : show
Applies to : projets, tasks, reminders
--it may be because of MySQL's "show databases/tables/fields", but I
find myself writing 'show' a lot instead of 'list'.

Also, I was wondering: why not use a system similar to that of some
console applications, such as that you only need to write up to the
key that makes it unequivocally identifiable, so for instance, you
would write...
create p[roject]
create t[ask]
create r[eminder]
It's not as fast as the aliases, but it also helps (just an idea).

Ralph, that's a pretty good idea. The less we have to type, the better
