Export no longer confirms when it's done?

I just updated to TS 4.5.5 and noticed that it no longer shows a dialog box when the export is done. Was that intentional? It just leaves the Export window up. Wouldn't it be better to show the number of records that were exported and then close the Export window?

Yes, it was intentional.  Is it better?  I don't know, you tell me.  When you save a file, normally there is no alert stating "File saved successfully."  I assumed it should be the same when exporting, which isn't a lot different from saving.  Maybe instead the Export window should disappear after exporting, just as the File Save window does.  What do you think?  There is an alert if there's an error.

I appreciate the several comments on this.  I'll make a change so it acts as you'd expect.
Thanks,
Bill

It doesn't feel like a save. A save alters the state of the focused
document. The export does not.

Because a save alters the state of the focused document there should
be some indicator that the document's state is consistent with
persistent state. I think I've seen the close button (red dot) appear
with a dark center when a save is needed. Sometimes I see a greyed out
title bar icon when a save is needed. This whole notion of document
state indicators doesn't work for export.

It works. Since a dialog box comes up would you be able to include the number of records exported?

Thanks.

Not easily, but I'll take a look.
