They both open up fine for me. You might want to try re-downloading them (or
just download them individually).

Hi. Thanks to nmHz, we have all thirty puzzles put together in one
massive 4 MB file (all.pdf). Feel free to download that instead of the
puzzles individually. (If you did download each puzzle, you may have
had trouble getting 2001. That's now corrected.)

Two puzzles for 1997

A testsolver had esthetic comments about the puzzle for 1997, so we
have posted a second version of it (1997a). Please try 1997.pdf first;
if you get stuck with it, or you just don't want to try it, let us
know, and solve the 1997a version. Thanks!

Note on 2006

The 2006 puzzle requires some knowledge of the film Wordplay. If you
haven't seen the film, and you need help identifying some of the
pictured people, let us know.
