Can the new FileReader API be used for picking images?

Hi.

From time to time we can hear questions like "can I insert pathes for images in the [img[..]] markup in an easier way then just typing them manually?"

In the new TW 2.6.2 beta announcement thread [1] Scott Simmons mentioned that the API can deliver not only a file, but the path as well.

So, is that correct that the FileReader API can be used for picking images to insert their paths? And one more question: is the API capable of getting relative paths (which is usually desirable to "attach" images)?

Sadly, browsers do not let you get at the path of files, just their content and filename.

Ah, so that's what I actually expected because this is a security measure. But what's that Scott and Eric were talking about, then?
