I agree that's probably the best solution.
I'm wary of adding escaping tildes to the core's shadow tiddlers, as
that introduces some complexity and should be considered a last resort.

I think we've all tripped over this issue at some point.

Install instructions would help, as would some nice "micro-copy" in
TiddlyWiki itself:

Perfect !!! As a first time user, I was looking for a plain "save"
option in my browser menu, I had not realised I was supposed to use
the sidebar option.

You must *never* use the browser's File>Save (or File>SaveAs) menu
items to save a TiddlyWiki file. Rather, use the "save changes"

TiddyWiki would probably be perfect for my needs... But I can't manage
to get started.

I have tried using TiddyWiki in IE7 and Firefox 3.5.5 in Windows XP
The HTML file template is saved on my hard disk, in my documents
folder,: MyWiki.html.
I have no unblock button in the file property window.

It looks very good, stable and easy to adapt..
Please announce InlineExpenseTrackingPlugin on the TiddlyWiki users
group as well.
I'm sure you will get more feedback from endusers, than you can expect
from the hardworking devellopers ;-)

Tag ColorPalette with "excludeMissing" and gone they are from the
missing-list.
