AutoTagger's home page states
"AutoTagger scans the tiddler content (including title) for all
existing tags, and automatically adds any embedded tags that it
finds."

Now as a newbie I would love to know how to embed tags?
Please help.

Cheers

Hi tigger,

I think what is meant with 'embedded' tags is, that it scans the text
for anything already existing as a tag. And if it finds such words in
a tiddler text or title, it will add it to that particular tiddler as
a tag.

So nothing to do, that to have those words you would like to be added
automatically already used as tag on some tiddler.

Hi Wolfie

Thanks for the prompt reply.
So am I to assume that somewhere in my tiddler I just type
tag=MyTagName and it will find that tag?

As you can see I am a little confused.

Hi tigger,

I'm pretty sure. But 100% certainty you'll only have - once you've
tried it yourself.

That is not correct... you don't use any 'special' syntax in the
tiddler text... just type the tag value into your normal content.

Here's how it works:

First, create a tiddler that is tagged -- by using the normal TAG
entry field in the tiddler editor -- with "MyTagName" (so that tag
will exist in your document)

Next, create another tiddler. In the TEXT field of this tiddler, put
a sentence, such as:
---------
This sentence contains the text MyTagName, which has already been used
as a tag in this document
---------
Then, in the TAG input field of this tiddler, enter "auto". This is a
special keyword used by the plugin: when you press the 'done' button,
the presence of that tag value tells the AutoTaggerPlugin to scan the
tiddler body for any text that matches with existing tags (e.g.,
"MyTagName"), and automatically add those tags to the tiddler.

Please refer to the plugin docs for configuration options and
additional information.

Thanks for your help Eric.
AutoTagger was not really what I wanted for my tiddler. But it was a
good learning experience
finding out how it worked.
