Don't know what happened, but all of a sudden the one MPTW TiddlyWiki
that I use regularly has lost all the special configurations I've put
into it. In addition, some things are just not working right. E.g.,
new tiddlers extend all the way over to the right margin, with the
toolbar overlapping the search area. When I open a new tiddler I can't
close it, since the close button is in the search area and the search
tiddler opens instead. Also, TiddlersBarPlugin is not working.

I checked my other MPTWs and the same problem occurs in them. I tried
downloading a fresh MPTW. It functions normally. However, after
importing the tiddlers from the MPTW I use regularly into a new one,
it functions abnormally as well. All my nonMPTW TiddlyWikis work fine.
These problems appear when I run TiddlyWikis on my Mac. The same MPTWs
work fine on my Windows machine.

This problem appeared after running Morris' new TWT-Treeview-Executive
TiddlyWiki. Also after trying the "save as" command from this
TiddlyWiki with the results reported in my previous post. I quit
Firefox and started over to see if that would make a difference. It
didn't. Likewise after rebooting my machine.

*Really* mystified.

Thanks,

There's not really much for us to go on here. Perhaps your browser is
acting up - have you tried creating a new profile?
For Firefox, see here:

Yeah, I recognize that the information I provided was probably not
very helpful. It was the best I could do. With my level of competence,
I literally could not imagine what the problem might be -- except that
I imagined it was probably pretty complicated.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll give it a try, with some trepidation.
I've done this before. Sometimes it went through without a hitch.
Other times it took a while to get it right.

Can't do it right now, though. Too busy with work. Thank God I've got
a Windows machine on which I can run my TWs. [Actually, I can run all
but the MPTWs on the Mac.]

Sincerely,

Hi Eric,

I just checked out TWT-Treeview-Executive re: saveAs and it didn't
have the latest saveAs plugin, it does now but I seriously doubt that
would cause the symptoms you describe. From some of your other posts
it sounds as though you may have browser or machine problems.

And thanks for this, too, Morris. I've downloaded the latest TWT-
Treeview-Executive. I'll give saveAs a try on it. I suspect I'll still
have the problem.

And, yes, I think it is a browser or machine problem on my end. There
are other OS X-ers here, and they're obviously not have the problem
I'm having.

As I reported earlier, with Firefox on OS X I do not get the security
warning on first save after loading a TiddlyWiki the way I do on
Windows. Is that any kind of clue?

Yep, I still have the problem on the Mac.

Again, I wonder about this.
