Ibn Al Qayyam wrote that  honey does possess any side effects, except for those suffering from bile and who should take it with vinegar to neutralize its harm. And we feel that Diabetic patients fall in the same category, they should always take honey combined with vinegar, so that they can also have their share from the true healers of Allah's creations.

There are many jams & preserves for Diabetic patients that are made with Aspartame, but if they are prepared with good quality honey & pure home-made vinegar, they will serve as the BEST alternative.

We prepared plum's jam with honey & pomegranate vinegar, such a perfect combination of Sweet n Sour was never seen earlier.
Blend the plums, add honey, vinegar, salt & spices of your choice, take on the stove & heat slowly till the water evaporates. For 2 kg, plums, we added 500 grams of honey + 50 ml of vinegar.
