If Sattu is out of
your reach, just bring barley flour with its husk & dry roast for 45 minutes
at low heat, stirring with a spoon continuously to avoid over-burning. It will
be OK for Talbinah, you can even use un-roasted barley flour but the taste will
be inferior.
Talbinah is the combination of barley's flour
with milk & honey.
Most of people are misguided
for the proper kind of barley which should be used in Talbinah.
Some shops sell the broken grains
of "Pearl Barley" and they name it as Jao Ka Dalya, i.e. for
Talbinah. It is a mistake by 200 %, as Pearl barley has its husk & bran
removed & it is totally wasteful & useless.
Barley's fiber is the most
important factor of healing.
Our best choice for Talbinah is
barley's Saweeq (Sattu) that has the husk, with which Talbinah is easily
prepared within 7-10 minutes, it is because Saweeq is already
roasted.
Some shops are selling Talbinah
packed in boxes, it is nothing but the ordinary barley flour, although it is
VALID for Talbinah, but the recipe asks for boiling the flour in water first,
& then boiling it again in milk. Furthermore, the taste may not be
appealing to all people.
Barley's Saweeq is the shortcut for
Talbinah, & its taste will attract you for ever.
For many patients, problems of
Acidity, Constipation, Ulcer, gas, bloating, etc. totally disappeared with
Talbinah.
