عن عبد
الله بن عمر بن الخطاب رضي الله عنهما قال «جاء رجل إلى النبي فقال: يا رسول الله،
كم أعفو عن الخادم؟ فصمت عنه رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم - ، ثم قال: يا رسول
الله كم أعفو عن الخادم، فقال رسول الله كل يوم سبعين مرة» (أخرجه أبو داود
والترمذي).

Allaho Anh that a person came to Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam
& said, O Prophet of Allah, how many times should I pardon my slave (forgive
his mistakes) ? Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe Wasallam kept silent at his
question. Then the person asked again, O Prophet of Allah, how many times should
I pardon my slave (forgive his mistakes) ? Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe
Wasallam said " Every day by 70 times". (Narrated by Abu Dawood &
Tirmidhi)
70 times per day actually means to forgive at each
& every mistake.
