You can't sterilize plastic cups, so forget this option for future.

For glass cups, there are some autoclaves (as available in hospitals for their own equipment), you have to maintain the temperature for a specific time so that all the germs are killed. An autoclave works with high pressure saturated steam at 121 °C or more, typically for 15-20 minutes depending on the size of the load and the contents. It is again a difficult task outside a clinic, so my opinion is that you should use plastic cups & dispose them after a single use.
