Dates are a miracle of my Allah's creations, and the soil of Madinah was given special qualities to yield out the best dates of this world, Ajwah, Ambar, Rabee'ah, Barni, Safaawi, etc.

 

Qasim is also famous for dates, Sukkari, Rashoodiah, Barhi, Nabtat Ali, Khudri are the popular types seen on the shelves.

 

But there is a unique variety (from Qasim) which rarely appears in the market (a reason could be lesser number of trees), probably you have never heard the name earlier, it is so wet that it never dries out & it is difficult to change its Rutab to Tamar, has a short shelf life & and that is why it is available in vacuum packing.

 

At some elegant date shops (Tamoor Fakhirah), you may find its refrigerated Rutab, the price is as high as SR 65/- per kg. But a single piece melting in your mouth will speak that you have paid the correct amount........ soft flesh, tiny stones, high in sweetness, like a Makhmal ~ SILK, it is the miraculous NABOOT SAIF ~ نبوت سيف.
