Bhai Zubair,

That day, you asked for water retention & bloating.

Main causes of W.R. are malfunctioning of heart and kidneys. Furthermore, a blockage or congestion of the lymphatic system can cause a type of water retention known as Lymphoedema (lymphedema). Lack of physical activity is the root cause of Lymphoedema, because without regular movement, it is difficult for your lymphatic system to drain excess fluid out of your tissues.

Excess of fluid weight will always give a sensation of bloating, hardened tummy, flatulence, and like a balloon filled with air. Those who take the dinner very late & sleep immediately will always wake up with a very hard stomach, the tummy is hard like a stone especially under the chest. Gall stones can give the same symptoms, which means that the LIVER got tired in the past by over-dosage of fats.

Wrong diet, false food combinations, incorrect timings of meals, using excessive salt, pickles, etc. are few other reasons.

Mistakes such as the following will result in water retention:

Forgetting Bismillah before taking the meal, having more than 2 meals per day, we only recommend breakfast early in the morning and dinner should finish before the Azan of Maghrib, LUNCH has to be skipped, filling the stomach to its full desire, fast chewing (that is why we discourage eating rice), to eat / drink while standing, walking or laying down on a support, hot drinks like Tea, Green Tea, Coffee, using more than 3 fingers while grasping the food (that is why we discourage eating rice), White wheat bread, white rice, table sugar & all refined carbohydrates, eating junk foods from the restaurants, false food combinations, vegetable oils, improperly slaughtered animals (major cause of Uric Acid), taking animal proteins in excess, sleeping after the meals, after Fajar & after Asar (it also makes the heart brittle), and finally, staying away from dietary principals of Tibb-e-Nabawi.

Hijamah at 8 points on the back will just reduce the load on major organs, but water retention is best cured by Tibb-e-Nabawi diet.
  1. A blend of Henna+Gokhru (Tribulus terrestris) is strong enough to pull out the excessive water weight.
  2. Juice therapies should also be tried as (1) Juice Therapy for Hypertension & (2) Juice Therapy for Gout / Uric Acid
  3. Barley Water is the beauty for water retention, the patient should drink at least 1.5 ~ 2 liters of barley water daily.
  4. Camel's milk is a strong diuretic, plus the fruits like watermelon, melon, etc.
  5. Nabeez should be taken regularly ~  Nabeez ~ Drink made with soaked Raisins
  6. Wheat & rice should be completely stopped, replaced exclusively with barley bread
